Marston Group appoints new Deputy Chief Executive

Gareth Hughes has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Marston Group with immediate effect. Frank Millerick, Chief Executive, commented: "Gareth has played an increasingly important role across the business over the years, and this new position is recognition of that wider contribution."

Formerly Group Commercial & Finance Director, Gareth spent three years in the KPMG London Financial Business Unit between 1996 and 1999, before being transferred to KPMG's Melbourne office. He joined corporate finance boutique Old Mutual Securities on his return to the UK in 2001, before joining what is now Marston Group as Finance Director in 2002.

Over the last eight years, Gareth has become a member of the Institute of Credit Management, the Enforcement Law Reform Group, the Enforcement Regulation Group, a partner of the centre-right Reform think tank, and was appointed to two working parties set up by Ministry of Justice during its Enforcement Agents Fee Structure Review. Gareth is also shortly expected to become authorised by the Lord Chancellor as a High Court Enforcement Officer.
