Marston's award-winning services recognised in advice sector publication
Marston Group (Marston) is pleased to have been recognised for its award-winning services in a new report published by the Addressing Financial Difficulties good practice working party (AFD).
The report, entitled Debt: How to do the right thing, is aimed at consumers attempting to overcome periods of financial difficulty and provide information on where they can acquire free high quality independent advice.
A five-stage process to overcome financial difficulties is outlined in the report and Marston is featured in the first of these. In addition to detailing its work with Consumer Credit and Counselling Service (CCCS), the report also highlights Marston's award-winning work with Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), which won the 'Model of Excellence' Enforcement Award at the British Parking Awards earlier this year.
The report also refers to the ongoing relationship-building programme between Marston and CAB, through which a series of training workshops have helped members of CAB improve their understanding of the enforcement industry and its remit. In addition, it recognises Marston's efforts to connect debtors to the relevant advice services when they encounter customers in financial difficulties.
Marston Deputy Chief Executive, Gareth Hughes, commented: "Marston is committed to a meaningful and substantive relationship with the advice sector, in order to help improve understanding of enforcement agents and the enforcement process. Our inclusion in the report further demonstrates Marston's commitment to this relationship."
The full report is available to download now from CAB's website.
