Marston Group publishes Annual Report 2011
Marston Group (Marston) today publishes its annual report online, as part of our commitment to transparency and open communication. Making this key document widely available means that debtors, the advice sector and the wider general public have easy access to current information about the Group.
The reviews of the year set out our vision, values and recent innovations. Members of our team are also profiled, including a number of Enforcement Agents, so that readers can learn more about the background, expertise and skill sets of people working for the Group. Since the annual report was signed on 9 September, we have:
- received an "Innovation of the Year" award in partnership with EDF in respect of an integrated compliance and attendance approach.
- been shortlisted for Enforcement Team of the Year 2011, due to be announced in November. We are still the only company to have won this award.
- formally published a client account audit confirmation from Grant Thornton, and publicly committed to doing so on a quarterly basis moving forward.
We are also due to begin a 'Body Worn Video' pilot on 4 October. We will be keen to roll this out nationally if the results are positive, notwithstanding the capital investment required, as it will have real benefits for clients and debtors in terms of increased assurance and reduced risk.
We have developed a compliance focus over the last few years, forming partnerships with debt advice and counselling charities, making outbound calls, issuing text reminders, and offering innovative payment plans. We continue to increase our focus in this area, and the annual report discusses this in more detail.
The full report is available to download here. We are currently developing further initiatives, and these will be announced in due course.
