Marston innovation project featured in government supplier conference
The conference, entitled Crown and Suppliers: A New Way of Working, was hosted by the Cabinet Office and held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on Monday 21 November.
Marston Group (Marston) joined other invited government suppliers to attend the conference, which explored various ways in which government intends to reshape future expenditure.
A range of departments gave presentations on how they plan to work cohesively to reduce spend in areas of ICT, Facilities Management and procuring goods and services. They also discussed how to improve relationships with suppliers in order to gain enhanced mutual understanding.
At the conference, HM Courts & Tribunals Service representatives showcased an aged debt pilot involving Marston as an example of a government department working innovatively with its suppliers.
Gareth Hughes, Marston's Deputy Chief Executive, commented: "We were pleased to have been invited to this important event. It was an interesting day and represented investment in understanding key stakeholders- and how we can best work to support them."
